MIDWAY, Ky. - The Midway men's basketball team will begin a challenging 2025-26 campaign at home in late October.

Year three under head coach Akeem Scott opens with consecutive outings at Marshall Gymnasium. Midway will play its first ever game against in-state foe Union Commonwealth Oct. 23 before hosting Miami Middletown (Ohio) four days later.

That will kick off a difficult non-conference slate that features four exhibitions against NCAA Division-I opponents. The Eagles fill face Morehead State on Nov. 3, Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 6, Bellarmine Dec. 3 and Liberty (Va.) Dec. 16.

Midway will also square off against elite NAIA programs Georgetown and Cumberlands on Nov. 14 and Dec. 6 respectively. The Tigers reached the Elite Eight of the NAIA National Tournament last season, with the Patriots making the Sweet 16.

River States Conference play, which begins at home against Rio Grande Dec. 2, will also feature a Sweet 16 opponent in Saint Mary of the Woods, which will visit the Eagles on Jan. 17.

Indiana Southeast, which reached the 2025 National Tournament as well, will also come to Midway on Jan. 31.

All told, the Eagles will play 12 home games in the regular season, which wraps when they host Shawnee State on Feb. 21.
