DANVILLE, Ky. - Three program records were set for the Midway men's track team, which finished 11th with 21.6 points at the Centre Indoor Invitational Saturday.
The top finisher of the day was
Finley Mayoh, who placed second in a program-record time of 1:24.37 in the 600-meter run.
Carson Milner continued his excellent season by running a program-record time of 4:18.95 in the one-mile run, where he placed fourth.
In the 60 hurdles,
Ben Jones broke his own program record, finishing fifth in 8.78 seconds.
Jones finished even higher in the triple jump, with a fourth-place distance of 12.40 meters. He was one spot ahead of teammate
Latavian Hamilton, who jumped 12.18.
Steven Meyer scored in two events as well. He teamed with
Gregory Anderson,
Tyler Withers and
Elie Mugisha to finish sixth in the 4x400 relay (3:45.88) then took eighth in the 600 (1:29.31).
Also scoring was
Brayden Carson, who tied for seventh with a top leap of 1.77 in the high jump.
Next up for Midway is the River States Conference Indoor Championship, which will be held in Marietta, Ohio next Friday and Saturday.
