GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Midway's
Carson Milner ended the indoor track and field season by placing 19th in the 3,000-meter run at the NAIA Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Milner crossed the finish line in a time of 8:44.97.
Saturday marked the first track and field national appearance for the junior from Walton, Ky., who was also a national qualifier
in cross country in the fall.
He then earned a pair of wins and a pair of River States Conference
Track Athlete of the Week awards during
the indoor campaign before clinching his national spot with a second-place finish
at the RSC Indoor Championships.
After taking a week off, Midway will be right back at it on March 21, when the outdoor track and field season begins at the Pioneer Invitational, hosted in Lexington by Transylvania University.
