JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Kasey Cameron recorded a runner-up finish to lead the Midway women's golf team to a third-place performance at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout, hosted by Milligan University Tuesday.

The host Buffs won the two-round tournament with ease, shooting a 58-over par, 634. Oakland City was second with a 93-over score of 669, two strokes better than the Eagles.

Cameron, fresh off a medalist performance at the Midway Eagle Invitational that earned her River States Conference Golfer of the Week honors, was in first place with a three-over par 75 at the end of the first round.

She struggled a bit down the stretch, shooting an 82 (+10) in round two, but still held the runner-up spot, her 157 (+13) score one shot better than Maria Corla of Oakland City. Milligan's Bailey McGaha won with a six-over par score of 150.

Anna Simpson and Kelsay Collins were Midway's second-best performers, both shooting a 167 (+23) to tie for 12th place.
