OXFORD, Ohio – The Midway University women's soccer team has been picked to finish seventh in the River States Conference (RSC) Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced Thursday.
There will be a new conference champion this season, with West Virginia Tech entering the year as the preseason favorite. The Golden Bears received 60 points and six first-place votes to claim the top spot.
IU Kokomo was picked second after receiving 53 points and two first-place votes, while IU East earned 49 points to take third.
The remainder of the preseason poll is as follows: Brescia (48 points, one first-place vote), Rio Grande (40), IU Columbus (27), Midway (22), Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (17) and Kentucky Christian (8).
The Eagles open their 2026 campaign on August 26 when they host Berea College (Ky.) at Midway Turf Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Midway begins River States Conference play on October 1 when it travels to Kentucky Christian for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
