MIDWAY, Ky. - On September 18, the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will return to competition at the Midway Invitational, hosted in Versailles, Kentucky.

Following the opening meet of the 2026 fall season, both teams will seek to build upon their early-season performances as they compete against a competitive field. 

The Midway Invitational will feature a smaller field consisting of several strong programs, including Campbellsville, Georgetown, Johnson, Pikeville, UK Running Club, and Welch. The Women's race is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with the Men's race scheduled to follow at 6:45 p.m. 

On the men's side, Carson Milner enters the Midway Invitational following a second-place finish at the IWU Twilight Invitational on September 4, where he recorded a time of 18:33.71, just 1.41 seconds behind the individual leader. The Men's team finished 11th out of 17 teams, providing an early benchmark for the season as they look to build upon their opening performance at the Midway Invitational. 

The Women's Cross Country team will also enter the Midway Invitational looking to build upon its opening performance. Lexus Ralph and Ariah Egleston led the way individually at the IWU Twilight Invitational, recording times of 20:49.30 and 21:00.20, respectively. The Women's team ultimately finished 14th out of 16 teams in the season-opening competition.
