MIDWAY, Ky. -- For the fifth straight week, the Midway University baseball team has been forced to alter their weekend schedule due to the projected weather forecast.
Luther Bramblett's team was scheduled to host Ohio Christian University on Friday and Saturday, but a chance of rain on Saturday has forced them to move the three-game series up a day to Thursday and Friday.
The Eagles and Trailblazers will begin their series with a single-nine inning game at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 15. Then on Friday, March 16, they will conclude their series with a doubleheader starting at either noon or 1 p.m. ET at Chandler Field.
After starting the season with a 2-9 mark, the Eagles have flipped the switch and have won eight of their last 10 to pull within one game of .500 at 10-11. Midway has also won their first two River States Conference series and are off to a 5-1 start in conference play.
Ohio Christian enters the series with a 5-17 mark overall and a 1-5 record in league play. The Trailblazers were swept by Rio Grande (Ohio) to open conference play before taking one of three from West Virginia Tech this past weekend.
Live stats and live video will be available for all three games in the series.
