Midway cancels weekend series, adds twinbill with Georgetown on Friday

MIDWAY, Ky. -- For the third consecutive weekend, the Midway University baseball team has been forced to alter their weekend schedule due to weather.

Luther Bramblett announced the changes on Thursday as his team was scheduled to host Siena Heights University (Mich.) in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend weather forecast isn't favorable for the Eagles as Bramblett has canceled the four-game series.

Due to losing the games this weekend, Bramblett has announced that he is adding a doubleheader with Georgetown College (Ky.) on Friday, February 22. The twinbill begins at noon ET at Robert N. Wilson Field in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The Eagles are currently 3-5 overall on the season after splitting a doubleheader with the University of Pikeville (Ky.) on Tuesday.

The Tigers, meanwhile, moved to 5-5 on the year after they took two consecutive games from fellow River States Conference foe, Asbury University (Ky.).
