CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- After suffering a River States Conference loss to Rio Grande (Ohio) earlier this week, the Midway men's basketball team picked up their 10th win of the season on Saturday (Jan. 14) with a road win over Ohio Christian inside the Maxwell Center.

The Eagles faced a 64-53 deficit with 10:40 remaining, but from that point on they outscored the Trailblazers 25-11 en route to claiming the 78-75 come from behind victory.

With the win, Midway picks up their 10th victory of the season improving to 10-7 overall and 6-3 in RSC play, while Ohio Christian slips to 6-11 overall and 3-6 in league play.

Nick Keeton (Paintsville, Ky.) scored the first six points for the Eagles and Donnie Miller (Newport, Ky.) capped a 9-2 run to start the game with a triple as Midway took a 9-2 lead less than two minutes in.

The Trailblazers responded with a 7-2 run and held Midway without a field goal for nearly four minutes. After seeing their lead cut to two, 13-11, the Blue and Gold went on a 12-4 run to build their largest lead of the contest at 25-15 with 11:02 left in the first half.

A Dae'Shawn White (Newport, Ky.) triple matched Midway's largest lead of the contest, but over the final 5:24 they were held without a field goal and Ohio Christian closed the half on an 11-4 run to cut Midway's lead to 41-38 at intermission.

The Trailblazers used a 7-0 run early in the second stanza to take their first lead of the contest with just under 17 minutes remaining. The Ohio Christian lead soon swelled to double figures before reaching its largest of the contest at 64-53 with 10:40 left.

Donovan Morris (Lexington, Ky.) immediately answered with a triple before Keeton converted an 'and-one' to help kickstart a 15-3 run that saw Midway take a 68-67 lead with 6:39 left.

A triple by Miller gave the Eagles a 73-69 lead with 3:39 left, but they were held without a point for over three minutes allowing Ohio Christian to tie the game at 73 with under a minute left.

After calling a timeout, Midway drew up a play and Miller swished home a jumper as Midway regained a 75-73 lead. He later hit 3-of-4 at the free throw line giving his team a 78-75 lead with six seconds remaining. The Trailblazers had a shot to tie the game at the buzzer, but the last second heave was off the mark as Midway held on for the 78-75 victory.

Miller and Keeton led the way for the Eagles combining for 49 of their 78 points. Miller poured in 29 points hitting 11-of-14 from the free throw line, while Keeton posted a monster double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Tobias Thompson (Louisville, Ky.) also pulled down 13 rebounds to help the Eagles win the rebounding battle 43-36.
