MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway had two players selected to the River States Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference team Thursday, with
Amari Wales earning a spot on the First Team.
Joining Wales on the All-RSC squad was forward
Dontavius King, who was a Second-Team selection.
Wales,
a Second-Team honoree a season ago, made the leap in 2025-26 after averaging a team-best 16.6 points and finishing fourth in the conference in 3-point shooting at 44.6 percent.
At just six-feet tall, he pulled down a team-high 127 rebounds while also making a team-high 40 steals.
Wales is the first Eagle to be named to the All-RSC First Team since Donnie Miller at the end of the 2022-23 season.
King joined the team in January and helped transform the season with his excellent inside play. He averaged 13.8 points and 7.7 rebounds in 15 games, recording four double-doubles.
In games King played, the Eagles put together a record of 10-5. Their 10-6 record in conference play was the second-best mark in program history.
