Box Score RIO GRANDE, Ohio. - Midway's men's volleyball regular season concluded with a 25-13, 25-17, 25-20 loss to Rio Grande (Ohio) Tuesday night.
The Eagles had a negative hitting percentage in each of the first two sets, while the Red Storm hit.500 or better in both, including a whopping .600 in set two.
Midway kept things tight well into set three. The Eagles forced an 11-11 tie on an attack error and were within 16-15 on a Martin Walker kill off a Daniel Cogo assist.
But following a service error, the Red Storm went on a 5-0 run to put the match out of reach, dropping Midway to 2-21 on the year.
Next up for the Eagles is the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on April 18. Their opponent has yet to be announced.
