MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway junior Carson Milner has been named River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after another excellent performance over the weekend.

Milner took second in the 8K Blue Division at the Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday in a time of 24:48. The only runner to beat Milner was Clay Peets of Division-I St. Bonaventure (N.Y.).

In four races this year, Milner has two wins and four top-three finishes, with D-I runners being the only ones to cross the finish line before him. His time on Saturday was the second-fastest 8K time in Midway men's history.

This is the first Cross Country weekly award won by Milner, who has also been named RSC Athlete of the Week three separate times throughout his track and field career.

He is the first Eagle to win the cross country honor since Jacob Kocis on Oct. 24, 2022.

Midway is off until Oct. 17 when it competes in the Jenna Strong Classic in Wilmington, Ohio.
