MIDWAY, Ky. - The Midway men's and women's track and field programs will kick off the 2026 season in less than a month.

Led by first-year head coach Hunter Wethington, the Eagles begin competition in Louisville on Jan. 16 at the Bellarmine Open. That is the first of five regular season events on the indoor schedule.

The postseason will begin on Feb. 20-21 at the River States Conference Championships in Marietta, Ohio. Midway had a combined four indoor conference champions across the men's and women's programs a season ago.

The Eagles have also locked up at least one spot at the NAIA Indoor National Championships, which will be held in Gainesville, Fla. on March 5-7. Sophomore Maddi Reed hit the qualifying 'B' standard when Midway pole vaulters took part in the Marshall Indoor Opener on Dec. 6.
