Esports roundup: Eagles go 4-0 in second week of spring competition

MIDWAY, Ky. - Three Midway Esports teams went a combined 4-0 during the week, with Call of Duty and League of Legends both improving their 2024-25 records to 10-1

A week after suffering its first loss of the season, Call of Duty responded with a pair of wins over Michigan-based schools Monday, defeating Frerris State 3-1 and Eastern Michigan 3-2.

League of Legends got its 10th win Tuesday, knocking off Vanderbilt (Tenn.) 2-0.

Elsewhere, Overwatch earned a forefeit win over in-state foe Transy on Friday, while Rocket League had a scheduled matchup against Transy postponed until Feb. 27.

A new week of competition will begin Monday when Call of Duty takes on Northwood (Mich.). All matches can be streamed on the the Midway eSports Twitch page.
