MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's
Kasey Cameron has been named River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the second time in three weeks and the third time in her freshman season.
Cameron's latest award follows her performance
at the Klash of Kentucky over the weekend, where she placed fourth with a 13-over par, two-round score of 157. She was three strokes off the lead for an Eagle team that finished two strokes behind NAIA No. 21-ranked Pikeville for the top spot on the leaderboard.
The freshman standout has been named Player of the Week twice this spring,
last winning on March 17. She also won it once in the fall,
back on Sept. 30.
This is the fourth time an Eagle golfer has won the award during the 2024-25 campaign,
the other going to
Maryssa Phillips on Nov. 4.
Midway returns to action Tuesday for the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout in Johnson City.
