MIDWAY, Ky. - For the second time in 2026, Midway freshman Alicia Sanglas Sanglas has been named River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

The highlight of the week for Sanglas came in an April 3 match against Campbellsville, where she dropped just two games across singles and doubles. 

She and Emma Pheiffer opened with a 6-1 win over Miho Akita and Julieta Faisal at No. 1 doubles, before Sanglas took down Ekaterina Amosova 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

The Barcelona native won her first conference Player of the Week award on March 16. She currently holds a 7-2 record in both singles and doubles.

Midway returns to action Wednesday with a 4 p.m. road matchup against Cedarville (Ohio). The Eagles then travel to Ohio again Saturday to take on RSC foe Shawnee State at 2 p.m.
