MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's Christian Carter and Preston Moore have both won their third Midwest Sprint Football League Player of the Week awards of the season, with Moore winning top defensive honors for the third week in a row. 

On a day in which he became the first MSFL quarterback to throw for 2,000 yards in a season, Carter executed a 10-point fourth-quarter comeback on Saturday against a Calumet (Ind.) team that had surrendered just 10 points total in its first five games.

Carter threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Charles Adams with just over 10-minutes to play, then orchestrated a 12-play, 65-yard drive, capped off by his own 2-yard touchdown run to help the Eagles secure a 22-19 win over the two-time defending MSFL champion Crimson Wave.

In addition to his 2,065 yards, Carter has also thrown for an MSFL-record 24 touchdown passes this season.

This is his third Offensive Player of the Week win, the others coming on Sept. 23 and Oct. 21.

Oct. 21 was also the start of an incredible three-week run for Moore, who had his third-consecutive two-interception game on Saturday.

The senior from Elkton, Ky., who had two defensive touchdowns in an Oct. 25 win over Oakland City, has seven interceptions this season, one shy of the single-season MSFL record of eight, set by Calumet's Quindarius Davis in 2023.

The 5-2 Eagles earned the No. 2 seed in the MSFL Black Division and will travel to face 5-1 Calumet, the No. 1 seed in the Red Division, in the quarterfinals of the MSFL playoffs on Saturday.
