MIDWAY, Ky. - River States Conference softball coaches predicted an eighth-place finish for Midway during the 2026 season in a poll released on Thursday.

With 28 vote points, the Eagles were just one behind seventh-place Kentucky Christian.

Riot Grande earned the No. 1 position with 76 vote points and five first-place votes. Oakland City was second with 71 points and three first-place votes.

Indiana Southeast got 64 points to land in the No. 3 position with Shawnee State getting 60 and the other two first-place votes to come in fourth. Saint Mary of the Woods (48 points) rounded out the top-five.

Led by second-year head coach Bailey Curry, the Eagles will being the 2026 season in February.
