Delong earns NAIA Third Team All-American honors

MIDWAY, Ky. -- After turning in one of the most impressive seasons in recent program history, Randi Delong earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors, becoming Midway softball's first All-American selection since 2017.

Delong was one of 67 student-athletes recognized across the three All-American teams announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

She is the program's first All-American since Kelsey Gravens earned NAIA Second Team All-American honors in 2017.

Delong, a sophomore from Martin, Kentucky, put together a memorable campaign in her first season wearing the Blue and Gold. Following her graduation from Johnson Central High School in 2024, she spent her freshman season at Walters State Community College (Tenn.) before transferring to Midway.

The 2026 season saw Delong lead the Eagles in nearly every offensive category across 47 games. She batted .449 (66-for-147) while posting an impressive .823 slugging percentage.

Among her 66 hits were 13 home runs and 16 doubles, both of which led the team. She also drove in 55 runs, accumulated 121 total bases, and drew 19 walks.

Within the River States Conference, Delong led the league in home runs while ranking second in both batting average and slugging percentage. She also tied for third in RBIs and ranked among the conference leaders in total bases (fifth) and doubles (tied for ninth).

Nationally, Delong ranked 13th in slugging percentage and tied for 15th in home runs. She also finished 34th in the NAIA in batting average.

The All-American honor adds to an already decorated season that also saw Delong earn First Team All-River States Conference honors.
