MIDWAY, Ky. — Midway University has announced Brent Aldridge as its head softball coach, removing the interim designation he has held since August 20, 2026.
Aldridge served as an assistant coach with the Eagles during the spring of 2026 before stepping into the interim role in August.
"We are pleased to name Brent our head softball coach," said Dr.
Heath Morgan, Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs. "He stepped up when we needed him, and we appreciate the work he has done to lead the program through this transition. We have confidence in Brent and are excited to give him the opportunity to continue building our softball program."
"I am incredibly honored and excited to be named the head softball coach at Midway University," said Aldridge. "I would like to thank Midway University's administration for trusting me with this opportunity. This group of student-athletes is exceptional, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds."
Before arriving at Midway, Aldridge compiled a 202-80 record across eight seasons leading Anderson County High School in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. His teams earned five district titles and four regional championships, including a fourth-place finish at the 2015 Kentucky State Tournament.
