MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway grad student
Jesse Komoroski has been named River States Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Competing against a pair of Preseason NAIA All-Americans, Komoroski
had a great showing against No. 6 Reinhardt on Friday, allowing just six hits and a single unearned run over six innings of work.
This came after a season-opening performance
against Huntington on Jan. 31, when he held the Foresters hitless for the first four-and-a-third innings.Â
It's the first conference Player of the Week award for Komoroski, who has a 0.82 ERA through two starts this season.Â
He's the first Eagle to win such an honor since
Nick Eastham was named RSC Player of the Week
on April 15 of last year.
