MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway libero
Lincoln Anderson has been named River States Conference Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, the RSC announced Monday afternoon.
The sophomore played a key role in the Eagles earning their first win of the season on Saturday, recording 20 digs
in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Franklin.Â
Anderson has reached double-digit digs in nine matches this season, including tying his single-match program record with 24
in a Feb. 11 game against Kentucky State. He enters the week second in the conference in total digs (157) and digs per-set (3.49).
This is Midway's first-ever River States Conference Player of the Week award and its first conference honor since
Daniel Cogo was named Setter of the Week by the Mid-South
on Feb. 12, 2024.
Winners of two-in-a-row, the Eagles look to extend their win streak and get a first RSC win when they visit Indiana East at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
