MIDWAY, Ky. - A complete-game shutout performance on Saturday earned Midway's
Nathan McKissick the River States Conference's Pitcher of the Week award, it was announced Monday afternoon.
McKissick went the distance while scattering four hits with eight strikeouts
in a 6-0 win over Indiana Columbus, which clinched a series sweep for the Eagles.
The junior transfer now has a 3-1 record with a 2.86 earned-run average for a Midway team that is 17-6 overall and tied for second place with a 7-2 record in conference play.
McKissick has the third-best ERA in the River States Conference for an Eagle team that leads the RSC with a 4.30 ERA.
He is the second Pitcher of the Week winner from Midway this season, following
Tyler Pyles, who
won on Feb. 16.
Currently on a six-game win streak, the Eagles will look to keep things rolling this weekend, when they travel to play three RSC games against Kentucky Christian on Friday and Saturday.
