CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Midway women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season Saturday afternoon as the Eagles travel to Campbellsville University for a non-conference matchup against a Tigers squad receiving votes in the national poll.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Midway enters the matchup at 2-3 overall, while Campbellsville brings a 5-1-2 record into Saturday's contest. It will mark the first meeting between the two programs.

Eagles Hit the Road

After playing their first five contests at Midway Turf Field, the Eagles will get their first taste of road action against one of the strongest opponents on their non-conference schedule.

Midway opened the season with consecutive victories over Berea and Defiance before dropping its last three contests against Indiana Tech, Johnson (Tenn.) and Georgetown.

Despite the recent results, the Eagles have shown flashes offensively, particularly in the opening 45 minutes. All six of Midway's goals this season have come in the first half, while the Eagles have yet to find the back of the net after halftime.

Chloe Kemper has been at the center of the Midway attack. The senior leads the Eagles with three goals and seven points while putting five of her eight shots on frame. Kemper struck just 10 seconds into Sunday's matchup against Georgetown for her third goal of the campaign.

Addison Hazlett has also been a consistent threat going forward. The freshman leads Midway with 16 shots, including eight on goal, while recording a team-high three assists. Lacee Brown, Courtney Hale and Sloane Pollock have each added a goal, with Pollock and Brown accounting for Midway's two game-winners.

The Eagles have used three goalkeepers through five matches. Lilly Riordan has made a team-high 20 saves in three appearances, while Lillian Klee has recorded 13 saves in two starts. Midway has made 38 saves as a team.

Scouting Campbellsville

Campbellsville enters Saturday receiving votes in the national poll and has put together a 5-1-2 start under first-year head coach Trey Henderson. The Tigers opened the season unbeaten through their first seven matches before suffering their first loss Tuesday, a 3-2 setback at Taylor.

The Tigers have been one of the more productive attacking teams on Midway's schedule. Campbellsville has scored 32 goals through eight matches, an average of four per game, while attempting 23.3 shots per contest. The Tigers have also held opponents to seven goals and 7.5 shots per game.

Campbellsville's attack has featured several scoring threats. Julia Ogren leads the Tigers with seven goals, while Fiona Jolly and Marta Prieto have scored six apiece. Amelie Matheis has added five goals, giving Campbellsville four players with at least five tallies through eight matches.

Prieto has been particularly active in the attacking third, leading Campbellsville with 33 shots and putting 17 on frame. She returned this season after missing all of 2025 following a 2024 campaign in which she recorded 21 goals and 10 assists.

The Tigers have also been difficult to break down defensively, recording five shutouts while allowing just 0.88 goals per match. Sydney Hall has handled the majority of the work in goal, playing more than 631 minutes and making 20 saves.

First-Time Meeting

Saturday's contest will be the first matchup between Midway and Campbellsville. It also serves as the Eagles' final tune-up before beginning River States Conference play.

Following Saturday's match, Midway will have an extended break before traveling to Kentucky Christian on Oct. 1 for its RSC opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m
