MIDWAY, Ky. - A streak of four-consecutive multi-hit games against quality competition earned Midway's
Tenley Gilbert the River States Conference Softball Player of the Week award.
The senior infielder hit .643 with a .688 on-base percentage in a pair of doubleheaders against Oakland City (Ind.) and Cumberlands (Ky.). She also scored three runs,
two coming in the second game against Cumberland, the No. 4 team in the NAIA.
This is Gilbert's first RSC Player of the Week award and the first won by a Midway player since Madison Ludwig was named Pitcher of the Week
on April 24, 2023.
Hoping to play their way into the River States Conference Tournament, the Eagles have three critical league series on the schedule this week, starting with a Tuesday home doubleheader against St. Mary of the Woods (Ind.). First pitch for the opener is currently set for 3 p.m.
