MIDWAY, Ky. - Following a week
chock full of
offensive highlights, it was a Midway pitcher who caught the attention of the River States Conference.
On Monday, the RSC announced senior reliever
Jackson Lee as its Pitcher of the Week, following a dominant performance out of the bullpen against West Virginia Tech Saturday.
In three innings of shutout work, Lee stuck out seven of the nine batters he faced
in a 6-4 win that clinched a sweep in the Eagles' first conference series of the 2025 season. He allowed no hits and surrendered just one walk.
This is the first River States weekly award win for Lee who is the second Eagle to win Pitcher of the Week honors this season. He joins
Jesse Komoroski, who
captured the honor on Feb. 10.
Midway has won four games in a row overall and looks to continue that streak when it hosts in-state foe Campbellsville in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The Eagles will then travel to face defending conference champion and NAIA No. 17-ranked Indiana Southeast for a three-game series on Friday and Saturday.
